4. Notification-Related Data

This service stores the information required to provide city-based air pressure alerts. Notification data is handled separately from site analytics data.

Main data we collect and store:

  • Identifiers needed to deliver notifications
  • Selected city, language setting, and whether alerts are enabled or disabled
  • High-level environment information such as OS, browser, device category, and PWA status
  • Notification delivery history, whether a notification was clicked, and timestamps related to alert settings and recent use

Purposes:

  • Delivering alerts, preventing duplicate deliveries, and managing deliverability
  • Saving alert settings, preventing duplicate registrations, and managing disabled state
  • Troubleshooting notification issues and performing minimal operational analysis

External services used for notifications:

  • Cloudflare (application runtime, data storage, and delivery processing)
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (notification token management and push delivery)

Retention approach:

  • Active alert settings and related information are retained while alerts remain enabled
  • Related information after alerts are disabled becomes a deletion candidate after a certain period, currently targeted at about 180 days
  • Notification delivery and click history are currently retained for about 90 days

Stopping and deletion:

Users can stop alerts from the notification UI. Once disabled, no new alerts are sent. For deletion requests or questions about notification data, please contact the service operator.

6. About Cookies

This service uses cookies to improve the service. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may be limited.
